On May 9th Peter Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, issued a letter to all federal government agencies instructing staff to construct their 2011 budgets with a focus on place-based change.

The 2009 Fall Conference for Community Foundations is all about partnerships and the first day definitely showcased the transformative change these partnerships can create. HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan opened the conference by commending the tremendous outpouring of collaboration between the public and philanthropic sectors.
