As Congress searches for ways to close the growing national debt, the charitable tax deduction is included in the “everything” often mentioned in the phrase “everything is on the table.”

This will be terrible for the foundations as well as the grant seekers. It will also hurt people who donate money to their favorite charities. This must be stopped. No one wins with this. Charitable contributions must be allowed as tax deductions.
